Privacy policy

Planck Standard has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no ads and no advertising trackers. This page explains the little data that does move when you read the site. Last updated 3 November 2026.

What is collected and why

We count visits with a small visitor counter run by alcock.ai, our own analytics service. For each page view it records the page address (with only campaign tags such as utm or ref kept from the query string), the page you came from, the page title, your browser type, your approximate country, and a visitor id that is a scrambled code reset every day. It sets no cookies. We use this only to see which stories people read.

Your browser also remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. That setting stays on your device and is never sent to us.

Who else receives data

We do not sell or share personal information for advertising.

How long we keep it

The visitor counter keeps page-view records for site statistics. Because the visitor id changes every day and no name, email or cookie is attached, we cannot link the records to you. Other services keep their own logs under their own policies.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing us. California residents have these rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, to delete, and not to be discriminated against for asking. We do not sell personal information. You can also block the counter with any content blocker and the site will still work.

Children

Planck Standard is a general news site. It is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top.
